I declare this topic be used to think about better and more imaginative titles than the current ones.

For example, I do not like the idea of having half the people be governors.

Here is the rankings I've created, if anyone's interested. I added Rep and EA today.

Active Citizen 1
Council Member 5
Mayor 10
Governor 25
Representative 50
Senator 100
Executive Advisor 175
Ambassador 250

I can also create special ranks, such as "president" for myself. Anyone have any ideas on this matter?

Although the idea of so many governors...

We may run into problems along the way should we keep those titles. I expect that as the game develops, we will begin to have more leadership positions.

Which is why I would create special rank titles for those, such as I'll do for Cartographer (nominations have began!) and the presumed Duke/Duchess.

I would also like to see custom titles. Such as "town drunk, village idiot, sherif, etc."
Maybe we can nominate certian people to have certain custom tags, or people can request it, and if there request goes unchallenged, it's their's?
Of course no custom tags before, say 150 posts?

Only issue I see is that one can reach the lauded position of Governor after maybe two days of participation. I think the answer is less titles, with a heavier requirement to reach them.

Anyway, I think that is a good idea, Cybele.

Or maybe increase Active Citizen to 5 posts, and I'll make an amendment proposal changing my Rule Proposal 27 to define an active player as one with a title (Active Citizen at least)

I think it should be more simple, like on MafiaScum, so newcomers can tell who has a special position. They should also be generic (to avoid Nomia having dozens of mayors).

I support more titles. I think that the few titles are boring...titles make the game more interesting...

So basically, more generic titles, and all of Cybele's numbers. Although maybe 10 for active citizen, and add 0 for visitor.

Unfortunately, I expect people would be less than pleased about us eating the brains of the living. People tend to get upset about those sort of things. I also would not enjoy having to talk like:

"Z-HGhAaGBRa ARB AMbBRaHGhB!"

No. Because they have Townsperson, Goon, and Mafia Scum only. You currently have titles the whole way up to 1000. The Townsperson, Goon, and Mafia Scum system shows seniority, without creating a special title for BM, Armlx, and MoS.

I feel like character names and professions should go in signatures. Maybe leadership positions, plus a post-based "default rank" system with three tiers.
